# ¿Cómo puedo inactivar un template?
## Si necesitas limitar el uso de un template porque no es tan efectivo para los contactos o, es un template para alguna campaña en B2Chat, puedes inactivarlo para que los agentes no puedan utilizarlo.
Para inactivar un template y limitar el uso en el módulo de mensajes masivos, consola o contactos debes seguir los siguientes pasos:
**Paso 1: **Ingresa al administrador de templates ubicado en el **canal de WhatsApp. **Una vez allí, debes buscar la opción de configurar y dar clic en su ícono.
**Paso 2:** Da clic al botón en la columna **“Estado”** de template que quieres inactivar.
De esta forma, el template no podrá utilizarse hasta que se modifique el estado a activo de igual forma.
